Poor, poor, beautiful Darla, in love with the handsome Arthur but engaged to an evil oil baron. This story really should be about her, but instead it focuses on her disgustingly ugly household servant, Hiddi, who also happens to be in love with Arthur. But let's be real: what chance does she have?

Thankfully, self-sacrificing Hiddi ensures Darla and Arthur's happily ever after through the only sensible option: switch places with Darla and step into a marriage with the infamous, oily, oil-rich, mustache-twirling villain Zackary Sloane Von Baron. And yes, he IS evil. It doesn't matter that he's had a traumatic childhood and hasn't quite learned to express himself. It doesn't matter that he helps disabled veterans and impoverished orphans. It doesn't matter that his goal in life is to make his wife happy. Disregard all of those things; he's still completely evil and unjustified in everything he does. He's bald, for Pete's sake! That should tell you everything you need to know about him. So then why does Hiddi find herself developing a deep friendship with him, maybe even more? How could this be? Is she evil too?!
