The Westhaven Inheritance

The Westhaven Inheritance

The harbor is closed. So who is using it after midnight?

England, 1851. Fifteen-year-old Sharon Scarlett arrives from Barcelona expecting to reunite with her father. Instead, she steps into a life of unexpected wealth, aristocratic privilege, and a society that will watch her every move.

As she becomes a young woman, her fortune attracts flattering gentlemen with carefully concealed ambitions. Sharon soon learns that a proposal can be a bargain-and that refusing one can make an enemy.

But the danger waiting beyond her drawing room is harder to name.

At a supposedly abandoned quay, lanterns burn after dark. Carts leave tracks where no goods should pass. Someone is keeping a profitable secret, and Sharon's questions are becoming inconvenient.

Then a vicious accusation threatens her reputation and everything she has worked to secure. The people offering reassurance may know more than they admit. The person she suspects may be innocent.

And someone is counting on her being too frightened-or too embarrassed-to keep looking.

Drawn between England and the Spanish coast, Sharon braves uncertain seas to retrieve Minuit, a magnificent midnight-black Friesian mare. At her side is Kenneth, the Duke of Alderwick, whose patient devotion offers something her fortune cannot buy. Yet allowing him into her heart may be the boldest choice she makes.

From glittering Victorian ballrooms to a harbor alive with hidden activity, The Westhaven Inheritance follows a woman who refuses to surrender her judgment, her land, or her right to choose whom she loves.

Someone wants her silence. Sharon intends to give them an answer.
