The Ticket

A calm, immersive way to learn European Spanish through story.

Experience the traditions, conversations and small moments of connection that make December special in Spain in The Ticket: Bilingual European Spanish-English Christmas Stories, the second book in a series of interconnected stories for adult learners of European Spanish at pre-intermediate A2 Level.

Christmas is approaching and Don Julián goes to buy his lottery ticket, where a number carries years of memories and a special connection to his late wife. As family members share their hopes for the Christmas lottery, an ordinary ticket becomes part of a story about tradition, family and the unexpected pleasures of everyday life.

These four connected stories introduce the atmosphere of Christmas in Spain through familiar places, natural conversations and seasonal details. Written in accessible European Spanish, they help you develop your reading skills through authentic Spanish storytelling.

The 52 Story Method builds confidence through connected fiction, recycled vocabulary and a gradual progression in language. Instead of learning isolated words and phrases, you encounter Spanish in context and discover how meaning develops from one story to the next.

Perfect for learners who want to move beyond textbook exercises, The Ticket: Bilingual European Spanish-English Christmas Stories offers a warm, engaging way to practise Spanish through stories rooted in everyday life and the traditions of the festive season.
