The Mason

THE MASON

Blue Collar Assassins - Book Four
By Max Myllan

Some secrets are buried beneath the earth. Others are hidden in plain sight.

Retired Marine Colonel Lucas Henrik Lindström has spent years haunted by the deaths of five Marines under his command. An overseas building collapse took their lives, and the official investigation called it a tragic structural failure.

Lucas never believed the whole story.

Now a routine structural inspection at a government contractor's facility in Northern Virginia reveals something that should not exist: a concealed underground level, mysterious reinforced containers, and a strange symbol linking the installation to the disaster that destroyed his men.

Before Lucas can uncover the truth, someone attempts to bury him beneath the building.

He survives. But survival makes him a target.

Following a trail of suspicious shipments into Florida, Lucas turns to the only men he can trust-his half-brothers Eric the Carpenter, Van the Electrician, and Paul the Plumber. Together, they uncover evidence of a shadowy organization known as Foundation, whose influence may extend from secret infrastructure projects into the highest levels of power.

As the brothers follow the evidence, every discovery raises more dangerous questions. Who controls Foundation? What were the twelve containers built to conceal? And why does their father, a former Air Force general turned Catholic priest, seem to know more than he is willing to reveal?

For Lucas, the investigation is more than a mission. It is a chance to honor five fallen Marines, confront the guilt he has carried for years, and discover whether the truth can finally set him free.

But as one mystery approaches its conclusion, Lucas's twin sister Ursula discovers something extraordinary hidden beneath the layers of an old painting.

The dead have left their secrets. Someone is willing to kill to keep them buried.

THE MASON is the fourth installment in Max Myllan's Blue Collar Assassins series-a gripping blend of military action, family loyalty, investigative suspense, and conspiracy.

Four brothers. Four trades. One family. And an enemy that has been building its empire in the shadows for decades.
