The Lone Wolf Contract

Colin Pearce has only been out of the hospital for a few weeks, recovering from the wounds of his last adventure. He's enjoying the pleasant spring weather in Sedona and the blissful company of Jessica Tate. The two have become a couple, and Pearce believes he may have finally found someone who gets him. All is well in his world.

But in the background, a plan is underway to recruit him to fight his most deadly adversary yet. 

In one of its most secretive projects ever, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency created an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle using an F-16 platform. The goal? Prove that a fighter powered by artificial intelligence could outfight a human-piloted aircraft. Code named "The Lone Wolf," the AI-driven machine represents the highest technology DARPA has ever fielded.

And then it was stolen.

A mysterious cabal has taken the Lone Wolf and unleashed it on several countries in the Middle East. In its latest attack, the unmanned aircraft shot down an airliner with members of the Saudi Arabian royal family aboard. Now the Crown Prince of the country is being threatened. The Saudi government calls the U.S. for help with a very specific request. They don't want U.S. funds or U.S. technology. Instead, they want a single U.S. person - Colin Pearce. 

From the serenity of Sedona to the hard desert of Saudi Arabia, Colin Pearce will take to the skies in the most difficult battle of his life, fighting in the air against an adversary that makes no mistakes, and fighting on the ground against an organization that is utterly ruthless.
