The Last Glass Negative

Some secrets refuse to stay buried. Others will erase anyone who tries to uncover them.

Mara Ellery has spent her life restoring damaged photographs, revealing the faces and stories others have tried to hide. But at Stormglass House, the past is no longer confined to old glass negatives.

The fifth negative holds an impossible image: Mara herself, standing inside the house in 1912, face to face with Edwin Vale, the man behind a century of altered records and buried family secrets. Now the photographs are changing, familiar faces are disappearing, and the house seems determined to preserve a truth someone desperately wants forgotten.

When a man connected to the Vane Foundation is found dead behind a locked door in a burning records room, Mara uncovers a trail of forged documents, missing heirs, suspicious transfers, and a preservation network that has spent generations protecting a fraudulent inheritance. The evidence points toward a conspiracy reaching from a darkroom in 1912 to the present day.

As a violent coastal storm closes in on Rhode Island, Mara must connect five mysterious negatives, expose a modern killer, and discover why the house has recorded her in a photograph taken long before she was born.

But the greatest danger may not be a murderer.

Something inside Stormglass House is erasing photographs, documents, and eventually the memories of the people who know Mara. To defeat it, she must restore the truth before her own identity disappears from the record.

Somewhere in the house, the truth is waiting to be restored.
