In the tradition of Conan and Thongor. This is an Epic Tale of Sword and Sorcery. Syn, a sorceress of ancient power, finds her quiet routine in Zorm shattered when Queen Trinset of Galagon seeks her aid against the malevolent sorcerer Abraxion. Abraxion unleashes an unending tide of destructive, seemingly indestructible golems upon Galagon, leaving its people helpless. Though Syn and her barbarian companion, Wulfric, typically demand no payment for such tasks, the sheer scale of the threat and the queen's desperation stir Syn's resolve. The journey to Galagon is fraught with the usual dangers of their untamed world, including a skirmish with outlaws that highlights the formidable partnership between Syn's arcane might and Wulfric's martial prowess. Yet, the true test awaits them in Galagon, where the very fabric of magic seems warped by Abraxion's dark will.
Upon nearing Galagon's capital, Syn and Wulfric are immediately plunged into battle against Abraxion's monstrous creations. Syn perceives that these aren't merely animated constructs but things imbued with a corrupted essence, making them resistant to conventional attacks. While Wulfric's enchanted star-metal blade, its runes flashing with ancient power, can cleave the golems, it is Syn's potent yellow flames that truly unmake them, reducing their shattered forms to ash before they can reknit. The relentless assault of golems forces Syn to delve deeper into her own ancient magic, pushing her limits as she seeks to understand and counter Abraxion's unique brand of sorcery. She deduces that Abraxion's power stems from a perversion of life force, channeled into these mindless destroyers.
The climax sees Syn confront Abraxion directly, a duel of raw magical power that pits his dark arts against her mastery of ancient, elemental forces. Syn's perception of the world's underlying magical currents allows her to dismantle Abraxion's spells, ultimately consuming him in a torrent of white-hot bluish flames. With Abraxion defeated and his golems vanquished, Queen Trinset offers lavish rewards, but Syn, ever true to her nature, declines, finding satisfaction in the eradication of evil.
