However, ETV journalists say there is a gap between the theory and their practice,idealy the newsroom is accountable to the public but there is no mechanism to investifate what the public interest is and how to handle its complaints.According to them the newsroom is accountable to the executives or government officials rather than the public.They agree that the publ;ic is muted as result of nesroom's stand on accountability.
