The Disappearance of Amy Bradley

A young woman disappears from a Caribbean cruise ship. Nearly three decades later, the question remains: where did Amy Bradley go?

On the morning of March 24, 1998, twenty-three-year-old Amy Lynn Bradley was aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas with her family, enjoying a Caribbean vacation. Her father saw her on the balcony of their cabin in the early hours of the morning.

Then she vanished.

What followed was one of the most enduring missing-person mysteries of the Caribbean. Search teams scoured the ship and surrounding waters. Investigators traveled to Curaçao. Witnesses came forward claiming to have seen Amy after her disappearance. Photographs emerged. New theories developed. Some leads offered hope. Others ended in disappointment.

Was Amy swept into the sea?

Did she leave the ship voluntarily?

Was she abducted?

Or did someone take her from the cruise and conceal what happened?
For the Bradley family, every possibility carried the same unbearable question: Where is Amy?

The Disappearance of Amy Bradley reconstructs the case through the evidence, the reported sightings, the photographs, the investigations, the lawsuits, and the theories that have kept Amy's name in the public eye for decades.

But this is not simply a story about an unsolved disappearance. It is also a story about what happens when uncertainty lasts for years-and how difficult it can become to separate documented evidence from rumors, assumptions, and stories repeated so often that they begin to sound like facts.

With a careful examination of what is known, what remains disputed, and what may never be answered, this book follows one family's extraordinary search for the truth.

Nearly three decades later, Amy Bradley remains missing.

And the question that began that morning aboard a Caribbean cruise ship still has no definitive answer:

What happened to Amy?
