Elara Voss repairs things people cannot bear to lose.

Inheriting her grandfather's old watchmaking shop, she also inherits four rules-rules he followed for decades while practicing a craft no ordinary watchmaker could explain.

Then Julian Hale walks through her door carrying a broken watch that stopped at 11:47.

When Elara touches it with her grandfather's mysterious pen, she discovers that the watch does not merely remember time.

It remembers what happened.
