The Chosen

BASED ON A TRUE STORY

In 1492, during a period of great change in Europe, Bishop Bernardino López de Carvajal discovered a supposed sacred relic in the Church of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem: the Titulus Crucis, the inscription placed on the cross of Jesus. This discovery marked the beginning of a series of events that culminated in 1502 with the finding, in the cave of San Pietro in Montorio in Rome, of the mysterious manuscript Apocalypsis Nova, written by Blessed Amadeo de Silva. This manuscript prophesied the arrival of a future Shepherd destined to reform the Church and change the fate of humanity. Amadeo had died in Milan in 1482, the same year Leonardo da Vinci arrived in Milan to work for the Sforza Court. As his investigation advanced, Carvajal and his team of religious followers became embroiled in a conspiracy of historic, spiritual, and political proportions.

Five centuries later, Bastian, an enigmatic young man, becomes entangled in this ancient plot after witnessing a miracle of the sun in Medjugorje in 2016. Following this event, his life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a call from the Vatican.

The Chosen blends historical facts and research to take the reader on a fascinating journey of discovery and revelation, where the mysteries of the past seem to hold the key to understanding the present and the future of humanity.
