Soil & Suffering

Seeker knew the King.

In the Garden of Delight, His presence was as familiar as morning-the sound of His sandals on the path, His questions beneath the trees, His hand always near.

Then one morning, He was gone.

What begins as a search for the King becomes a journey through lands shaped by those who claim to know His ways. Some offer certainty. Others offer fire, abundance, wisdom, or rest. Each carries something true. Each has something to give. And in each place, Seeker must decide what to receive, what to release, and whether to keep walking when the One being sought still cannot be found.

Along the road, suffering unsettles easy answers, good things reveal their limits, and a deeper question begins to emerge:

What kind of soil is Seeker becoming?

Soil & Suffering is a contemplative allegorical novel about faith, formation, longing, and the difficult seasons when God seems absent-not a journey toward having every question answered, but toward discovering whether His presence might be larger than sight.

For readers who have known the ache of seeking God when He seems difficult to find, Soil & Suffering offers no easy map through suffering. Instead, it invites them to keep walking.
