Sieveleaf is a collection of aphorisms, observations, and poems concerned with the things which remain.
Written independently over several years, its entries return often to memory, absence, attachment, consequence, suffering, and the difficulty of interpreting a life while still living it. Some are conclusions. Others preserve only the question, the wound, or the circumstance from which a conclusion might have emerged.
The collection is arranged not as a chronology, but as a succession of recurring ideas: thoughts separated by years finding themselves unexpectedly beside one another, old observations acquiring different meanings, and certain impressions refusing to disappear at all.
