Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Geschichte - Sonstiges, Note: 1,7, Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Säkularisation 1802/03 war ein einschneidendes Ereignis in der Geschichte Bayerns. Durch die Säkularisation und die Mediatisierung wurde Bayern zu dem Flächenstaat, wie wir ihn heute kennen. Aus dem Ancien Regime entwickelte sich der moderne bayerische Staat.§In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit soll eingehend beleuchtet werden, inwiefern der Staat Bayern Gewinne und Verluste aus der Säkularisation gezogen hat und welche Folgen bis heute spürbar sind.§Zunächst gilt es den Begriff Säkularisation näher zu definieren und vom Begriff der Säkularisierung abzugrenzen. Daraufhin wird die Säkularisation in Bayern thematisiert und es werden die Vorboten dieser erläutert. Auf den historischen Hintergrund der vorausgehenden Aufklärungsbewegung und die napoleonischen Kriege wird jedoch nicht näher eingegangen, da dies den Rahmen dieser Arbeit sprengen würde und als bekannt vorausgesetzt werden kann.§Den Hauptteil der Arbeit bildet dann die große Säkularisation 1802/03 mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die daraus resultierenden Folgen. Es gilt herauszufinden, welche Vor- und Nachteile sich aus der Auflösung der Klöster und der Enteignung der Kirche ergeben haben, sowohl auf kurzfristige als auch auf langfristige Sicht.
