Ready to serve

Thinking of joining the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, RAF or Army? Make sure you're ready.

Ready to Serve is a plain-speaking, step-by-step guide to joining the UK Armed Forces, written by an RAF veteran of more than twenty years who went on to prepare young people for military careers in the classroom.

It walks you through the whole journey, from deciding whether service life is right for you to getting through basic training, with honest advice you won't find on a recruitment poster.
