A Study of Boy-Girl Relations in Iran is an official Iranian state media manual first published in 2008 by the Islamic Research Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Written for a state broadcasting system, the book treats contact between boys and girls as a public problem requiring supervision, instruction and media intervention. It examines friendship, desire, delayed marriage, physical contact, modesty, Western cultural influence and the role of radio and television in shaping moral behavior.
The manual's concern is not private romance alone. It approaches boy-girl relations as a social field where family, religion, education, media and the state all have a role. Its answer is disciplinary: reduce unnecessary contact, regulate public interaction, encourage lawful marriage and use broadcasting to protect Islamic values.
This edition preserves a document from inside Iran's official moral media apparatus, where intimacy becomes a subject of policy.
