The book provides evidence-based analysis on water resources potential in the Weybo-river catchment of South Ethiopia. This original study attested methods, & is perhabs new in its problem setting in Africa. It considered different interlinked parameters & fully based on rigorous field work & laboratory tests. It has been investigated that the ground water recharge is declining in an appreciable rate for a small decrease in PPT & a moderate increase in surface runoff. Ground water potential of the catchment is seen to be under the control of fracturing intensity & degree of weathering. Higher hydraulic conductivity zones are mapped at or near fractured regions & their values are decreasing away from the structures. It was also found that aquifers that are formed from the deeply weathered ignimbrites, rhyolites & trachytes yield low and possess a lower hydraulic conductivity. Groundwater recharge is computed using different methods. This original work instill new insights & interdiciplinary approach in the academia. Researchers, lecturers, undergraduate & graduate students, & practitioners in the field would find the work valuable.
