In the Midst

What do you do when the trial does not end quickly?

What happens when the prayer has been prayed, the answer has not come, and you are still standing in the middle of the pressure?

In the Midst: Finding God's Presence in the Midst of Trial traces one of Scripture's great recurring themes: God does not merely meet His people after the crisis has passed. He is present, sovereign, and actively at work in the midst of it.

From Eden to Egypt, from the wilderness and the tabernacle to the Jordan, the Psalms, the ministry of Christ, and the Church, Michael Gremillion follows the biblical pattern of God dwelling with His people through suffering, waiting, uncertainty, and opposition.

This is not a book about pretending hardship is easy or offering shallow reassurance. It is about learning to interpret hardship through the character of God, His covenant faithfulness, and the present reign of Jesus Christ.

For Christians walking through grief, illness, financial pressure, family difficulty, unanswered prayer, ministry discouragement, or a season with no clear ending, In the Midst asks a better question than "Where is God?"

It asks:

What is God doing in the midst of this?

The wilderness is not ungoverned. The waiting is not meaningless. Christ is not absent.

He reigns now-and He is present in the midst.
