In the Fallow Field

It's 1984, and a reawakened pagan god, a newborn forest spirit, and a group of misfits must stop a murderous zealot in a small town full of secrets.

TJ Crabtree travels to Hexenholz, Pennsylvania to meet a friend in a secluded field. Unfortunately, he encounters a crazed killer instead, and he'll never leave the fallow field on the edge of the woods-at least not in the same form that he entered it.

Something else has awakened in the forest beyond the field, a primordial being pulled from the dreams of generations of witches, a creature of wildness, hedonism, and lust. His magic is the only thing tethering TJ to the mortal plane, and he's happy to serve as TJ's guardian and mentor.

TJ has no more interest in befriending a monster than in becoming one himself, but in order to get revenge on the person who hurt him and protect the friends he's made, he must accept his nature and the dark desires that come with it. Being bound to the witches' wood and its lord introduces him to a new world of power and pleasure, but secrets run deep in the small town, and enemies hide in every shadow. Aside from the Goths in the local postpunk band, TJ isn't sure he can trust anyone... not even the forest god his body, heart, and spirit are coming to need so desperately. Not even himself.
