The increasing incidence of major head and neck trauma, and new advancements in imaging, new technology, and reconstruction techniques, created the need for this new text, appropriate for the general otolaryngologist/head & neck surgeon, as well as for the resident. The additional chapters on general management of the trauma patient, radiological evaluation, biomechanics, the new plating systems, the section on complications in each chapter, and the special "tips" contribute to its practicality and usefulness. The contributors are a who's-who of eminent otolaryngologists/head & neck surgeons.
