In their analysis of the Turkish case the authors explore the role of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and its affiliated institutions: the Social Security Institution (Sosyal G venlik Kurumu) and --"Kur (which has evolved from the former Public Employment Services Organisation BK); the consistency of the flexibility clauses of the new Turkish Labour Act with the acquis; and Turkish solutions as compared with those of EU Member States.
