Improving the skin retention time through fabrication of controlled release microspheres with Eudragit RS 100 seems to be a very promising approach in the management of C. albicans infection. The microspheres can be loaded on to a adhesive tape and applied to the infected area of the skin for a period of 10 days for maximum anti-fungal activity without eliciting any systemic action. The novel dosage form is expected to have wide patient acceptance.
