Home-based entrepreneurship is increasing. Prior§research has looked at the role of gender and§ethnicity in the creation of home-based enterprises,§but not much is known about the§professional-managerial entrepreneur who chooses to§start and run their business from home. These§entrepreneurial efforts are key economic drivers; are§a growing force; and serve as a means for the§accomplished and successful manager to find a better§quality of life and flexibility in work along with§financial sustainability. The roles of self-efficacy§and personality preference or type have been linked§to human achievement and performance. Entrepreneurial§strategies have been associated with various personal§characteristics. This study explored the relationship§of personality preferences and self-efficacy to the§strategies of home-based entrepreneurs. As a result,§a better§understanding of the personal dynamics of§entrepreneurial strategies creates the opportunity§for more effective management of §home-based businesses which are a critical component§of today s§global marketplace.
