With its outstanding treasures of precious goldsmith work and textile art, the Domkammer in Munster possesses one of the most important collections in Europe. Like a golden showcase wall, the high altar of the cathedral presented sculptures and reliquaries of the very greatest value that astonish the beholder even today. The treasures cover a range of almost a thousand years, up to the twentieth century.
