CRATCHIT'S CAROL

What if the most inspiring redemption story of all time was built on a lie?

It's been twenty years since the events of A Christmas Carol, and Ebenezer Scrooge has made good on the change of heart he underwent that night. Bringing steam and electricity to the people and creating hundreds of jobs, he has transformed the city of London into a steampunk utopia. No one believes in Scrooge more than Tim Cratchit, the grown-up "Tiny Tim," and the first person Scrooge ever saved.

Then, one fateful night, Tim comes across a chest of damning letters implying that Scrooge's supernatural visitations were faked. After Tim confronts Scrooge, one bad thing leads to another, and Tim Cratchit is sent on a magical adventure filled with airships, ghosts, robots, and reapers. Journeying from the shadows of the past to the depths of the Spirit World, Tim must discover the truth behind the story himself in order to save Scrooge's legacy...

And so, as more secrets are uncovered, Tim struggles with the existential lesson that A Christmas Carol taught him: "Be a good person." Because now he finds himself confronted by the biggest existential question of all: "What does 'good' mean?"

Cratchit's Carol is a fantasy adventure brimming with humor and hope. It also happens to be a spiritual sequel to A Christmas Carol that explores a familiar story from a new perspective, much like Wicked or Steven Spielberg's Hook. If you're the kind of reader who connects with those kinds of stories, then by all means, step into one of Ebenezer Scrooge's Doorway Mirrors and enjoy the journey! See you on the other side...
