Bloomie's Weather Journey introduces young readers to weather and climate through vivid illustrations, short explanations and clearly separated ideas. Children will explore how the Sun powers weather, why air pressure creates wind, how the water cycle works, how clouds and precipitation form, and how meteorologists observe and forecast changing conditions.

Along the way, readers will investigate:

• Evaporation, condensation and the water cycle
• Cloud families, rain, snow, sleet and hail
• Weather instruments, forecasts and simple maps
• Thunderstorms, lightning, rainbows and extreme-weather safety
