The book is divided into four chapters. The first chapter covers polymer fundamentals. This includes a brief discussion of the historical development of polymers, basic definitions and concepts, and an overview of the basis for the various classifications of polymers. The influence of polymer structure on properties is highlighted. Molecular weight of polymers is also discussed in this chapter. The stereochemistry of polymers is also discussed.
