Basement 14

Some buildings are abandoned. Others are waiting to be found.

Kay Holloway knows Reading's forgotten places better than most. As the creator of the urban exploration channel Urban Echo, she's used to empty corridors, boarded-up windows and the occasional unsettling discovery.

But when an investigation leads her towards a mysterious location known as Basement 14, the familiar streets of Reading begin to behave in impossible ways.

Clocks refuse to agree. Buildings contain rooms that shouldn't exist. Recordings capture things that haven't happened. And a strange spiral symbol keeps appearing where it has no business being.

As Kay and her friends follow the clues, they uncover traces of a hidden system woven into the town's architecture and history. A system that remembers more than it should, and may already be watching them.

The deeper they investigate, the harder it becomes to distinguish a forgotten place from a place that has been deliberately erased.

And some doors, once opened, don't lead back to the world you left behind.

Basement 14 is an atmospheric mystery blending psychological suspense, urban exploration and reality-bending speculative horror, set against the real streets and landmarks of Reading, England.

The city remembers. The question is what it wants to keep.
