She's fighting to keep her past in the past.

He's fighting a father who refuses to retire.

After one disastrous mistake wrecked her career, Ingrid wants a quiet life. She has a great job and the staunch support of Iris, her widowed landlady.

Mickey's spent years waiting to inherit the family business, but his father refuses to retire. When Ingrid mentions the community Christmas pageant, Mickey volunteers his father, hoping to distract him, and ignite the spark kindling between his dad and Iris.

But Mickey's dad offends Iris with his mansplaining and refuses to accept that Mickey knows what he's doing. Now, Mickey wonders whether running Rossi & Rossi was ever his dream.

He does know that he wants more time with Ingrid, who resists, unwilling to reveal the colossal mistake still haunting her. Yet, when the pageant is in peril, and Mickey shows up, she lets him in-just a little.

Thrown together by a shared backyard and a beloved tradition, Mickey and Ingrid catch fire as they fan the flames between the older couple. But when a major corporation targets Keeney Building Supply, both budding relationships falter, turning the happiest time of the year into a merry mess.

A Merry Mess is a steamy, friends-to-lovers, small-town holiday romance about fresh starts, found family, and choosing joy, even when life gets complicated.
